Thanksgiving at West Shore Academy
We had a great morning giving back and giving thanks!

On November 26th, the West Shore Foundation kicked off the morning with a check presentation to the WSSD Social Workers. They each received $1,500 to help support district families in need. Following that, the Foundation Board Members were treated to a delicious Thanksgiving feast prepared by Mr. Tom Dever and his students at the West Shore Academy. The Foundation provided the WSA with 2 grants, which supported cooking equipment for the students to learn how to cook and bake. The menu consisted of turkey (with an assist from Mr. Justin Weaver), mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams, green bean casserole, corn, mac n cheese, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls and honey butter, salad (from Aquaponics), and many dessert options. A HUGE THANK YOU to the students for this wonderful experience!
